Rick had involved in photography for over 35 years. As with many who first started shooting, Rick began photographing weddings to gain knowledge of composition and studio and strobe lighting. This was a learning process as well as financially supportive. This venture lasted for about two years, as he yearned to expand his knowledge in both landscape and portraiture. Rick became an assistant for two well-known photographers at that time. He gained valuable insight into both lighting and dealing with the various personalities in the field.
